EXPECT has recently joined the ClimateResearchNet, a dynamic network dedicated to enhancing the communication of climate science and ensuring that research findings reach policymakers, businesses, and society more efficiently.

About ClimateResearchNet

ClimateResearchNet is a collaborative network of Communications Officers, Project Managers, and Stakeholder Engagement leaders from various EU climate research projects and institutions. Since its launch in November 2022, the network has facilitated biannual virtual meetings to foster collaboration and share best practices in climate research communication.

By joining ClimateResearchNet, EXPECT will contribute to its core objectives:

  • Amplifying climate communication: Expanding the reach of our research findings to a broader and more diverse audience.
  • Building a community of practice: Sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the impact of climate research communication.
  • Strengthening research presence: Establishing a strong voice for climate researchers in communication networks and on social media.

Why it matters

To develop effective climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, it is crucial to understand the ongoing changes in our natural environment and anticipate future scenarios. The climate research community plays a key role in informing decision-makers, and ClimateResearchNet is committed to bridging the gap between research and action.

Looking ahead

As a member of ClimateResearchNet, the EXPECT team looks forward to actively participating in discussions, sharing our expertise, and learning from fellow members. This collaboration will help to ensure that climate research is communicated effectively, accelerating action towards a more sustainable future.

Stay tuned for updates as we engage with this vibrant network and contribute to the advancement of climate research communication.
